Second Call for Applications: Student Grants for LearnGeo
LearnGeo 2026 – 17-18 June 2026 – Pau, France
The European Federation of Geologists (EFG) and the French Geological Society (SGF) are pleased to announce a second call for applications for travel grants to support French-speaking students (Bachelor’s and Master’s) wishing to participate in LearnGeo 2026. These grants are generously sponsored by Sunrise Education, the official industry-university research internship base of China University of Geosciences (Beijing). Three participants will be selected. Each grant provides financial support of up to €330 per person to help cover travel and accommodation expenses. Participation in the LearnGeo event itself is free of charge.
How to apply
Applicants are invited to submit the following documents:
- Motivation letter (maximum one page, Word format) outlining their interest in participating in the event
- Curriculum Vitae
- Proof of student (valid student ID or equivalent)
- Estimated travel and accommodation costs
Important information
- The event will be held in French. Applicants must therefore be able to actively participate in French.
- Selected grantees must provide proof of attendance during the event.
- The grant will be reimbursed after the event (up to €330) upon submission of supporting documents confirming the expenses incurred.
