Get ready to experience the Earth like never before at LearnGeo!

The Conference ‘Learn Geoscience. Lead Change. Light the Way’ (LearnGeo) in Pau will open the doors of geoscience to everyone – from curious students to educators, professionals, and anyone passionate about understanding our planet.

The event will showcase how Earth sciences connect to our daily lives and to the major challenges of our time – climate change, natural hazards, energy transition, and the sustainable use of resources.

Over several days, Pau will transform into a lively hub of hands-on activities, open discussions, and inspiring sessions designed to make geoscience engaging, accessible, and fun.

  • For students: take part in outdoor excursions, interactive experiments, music concerts with a geological twist, and exclusive “meet a geoscientist” moments that bring science to life.
  • For teachers: discover new ways to bring Earth sciences into your classroom, even where they aren’t part of the core curriculum, with ready-to-use educational resources and workshops.
  • For geoscience professionals: exchange best practices in science communication and community engagement through dedicated workshops and training courses, connect with peers who are shaping how geoscience reaches society, and share your knowledge with the youth – the future geoscientists.
  • For companies and industry partners: showcase the impact of your work in a unique platform within the geoscience community and beyond. Share your innovations, strengthen your connections with researchers, educators, and future talent, and highlight your contribution to sustainable development. Sponsorship opportunities are available to increase your visibility, support public engagement, and demonstrate your commitment to communicating science responsibly and effectively.
  • For everyone else: explore how geoscience shapes the world beneath our feet and how it can guide us toward a more sustainable future, showing how the underground can bring solutions.

This isn’t just a conference – it is a celebration of how science meets society. Whether you are a student taking your first steps into geology, a teacher seeking fresh inspiration, or a policymaker looking to connect education and sustainability, LearnGeo invites you to be part of a movement that makes geoscience matter for all.

Join us in Pau and discover the Earth – explained, explored, and experienced!
